Fort Hays State University worked with CampusTours' talented designers to craft a presentation that evokes the FHSU signature style. Powered by the CampusTours MultiMedia Engine content management system, FHSU can make changes to the tour and map in seconds, and have those changes manifest in both desktop and mobile versions of the tour instantly.
Arranged around the main video windows throughout the tour are small heads of students, faculty and staff. Clicking any of these people plays a video commentary about the video topic the visitor is currently watching. Commentary allows prospective students and parents to learn how current students experience aspects of campus life, and hear personal stories and vignettes about topics of interest. The FHSU tour contains more than 400 individual commentary videos!
The Fort Hays State University Tour uses CampusTours' content-managed InteractiveVideo technology allowing users to explore the important themes discussed in the videos. Breaking videos into shorter thematic chapters and then integrating InteractiveVideo cue points into the videos allows organizations to add depth and granularity to their presentations.
The AnyTour system implemented by the Fort Hays State University includes a full interactive map module that contains the current FHSU campus map. Using the content management system, Fort Hays State University can update the map in the system whenever there are changes to the base map artwork, and can publish a new map with updated hotspots, videos, text and photos instantly.
